Beginning July 16, 2026, the SentriKey Real Estate® app will introduce reminder notifications during active showings. These reminders are designed to help you remember to manually end your showing when you've finished.
Ending a showing manually helps ensure showing records are accurate and that sellers and listing agents receive timely "showing ended" notifications.
How the New Reminders Work
While a showing is active, the SentriKey app will send up to two push notifications asking if you are still in the showing.
- First reminder: 30 minutes after the showing begins
- Second reminder: 60 minutes after the showing begins
If you've already finished your showing, simply open the app and select End Showing.
When Will the Reminders Stop?
Reminder notifications will not be sent—or will stop immediately—once the showing has ended.
A showing can end in several ways:
- You manually end the showing in the SentriKey app.
- The showing ends automatically based on your location.
- You access another SentriLock lockbox, ending the previous showing.
- Another valid showing end event occurs.

Do I need to do anything?
No. The reminder notifications will automatically begin appearing in the SentriKey Real Estate app starting July 16, 2026. To take advantage of this feature, make sure push notifications are enabled for the SentriKey app on your mobile device.
