When agents share their MLS Touch app with a prospect or client, they will be invited to download the MLS Client app. This is the client’s version of MLS-Touch that allows agents to connect with their clients. In this video I will cover what the client sees when they access the app and the options they’ll have for searching and communicating with their agent.
At the start, MLS-Client will ask for name and contact information. If the user is already associated with an agent’s contacts the app will use that info to categorize them. If not, they will be added as a new contact under the leads category in the agent version of the app.
From the app Home Screen clients will be able to search for listings using the Map Search or the advanced search which finds listings based on criteria. In the map search you’ll be shown listings based on where you’re looking. Reorient the map to see listings in other areas. If you want to view listings near a landmark or address, use the search bar to Jump to a location. Fine tune the search even further by using the drawing tool or adding filters. Tap to swap between the map and list view to review results. You can save search criteria to view new results in the future by tapping save search. Just give your search a name and it will be added to the Saved Search screen.
If you prefer to search for homes by criteria, you’ll want to use the advanced search. Enter details of your ideal property then tap search. You’ll see that once you get your results you will be able to save a search here the same as the map search, and you can revisit these at any time from the home screen.
Select a listing from your search results to bring up the full listing display. Swipe to look through photos or tap to show them in full screen. Tap the star icon to mark it as a favorite to keep up with any changes on the listing. If you don’t like the listing, you can discard it. Tap share to send a link that shows the listing info. The link that is sent will show the contact info of the agent whose app you are using. Tapping print will do the same, but instead of sending a link you can print or save a listing sheet to your device.
Below that is a map window. Tapping directions will open your default GPS app and enter that listings address as your destination. You can add private notes about this listing if you plan to review it later and other listing information can be found in the dropdown lists below that.
The My Agent page is where you can quickly find agent contact information and listings. Tap My Suggestions to see all the listings your agent has sent you in one place.
To contact your agent in the app, tap Messages. When you send a message this way they will be notified based on their settings. You can change notification settings from the More screen.
Other tools include the Mortgage calculator and Tips page that provides info about the buying and selling processes from start to finish. Tapping Instaview will search for any listings that are near your current location. For example, if you’re out and see a for sale sign you can use instaview to instantly see details about the property.
The more page is where you can change settings and defaults for the appearance and functions of the MLS-Client App. If you need support or would like to provide feedback for the app you can do so from this screen as well. Sending feedback will use your phone’s default email app.
