Auction:

Properties scheduled for auction.

Bank Owned/REO:

Properties purchased by banks or investors at auction.

Short Sale &

REO Sale:

Short sale indicators flag properties for which the most recent sale transaction was projected to be for a price less than the outstanding mortgage balance, while REO sale indicators flag properties sold by banks and institutions acting on their behalf. Together, they are known as distressed sale indicators.
